Many of us focus on improving our relationships with others, yet the most influential relationship, the one we have with ourselves, is often ignored. This workshop explores how our inner dialogue, early attachment experiences, and long-held beliefs about worthiness shape the way we show up in relationships today.

We will examine how shame, self-criticism, and old emotional patterns can silently drive our reactions, communication, and choices – even when we deeply want connection. Participants will learn the foundations of self-compassion and “inner safety,” including how to recognize and soften the inner critic, respond to emotional triggers with care, and develop a more supportive internal voice.

Through practical strategies and reflection, attendees will understand how strengthening the relationship with themselves improves mental health, emotional regulation, and the quality of their connections with others. The goal is an inside-out approach: by healing internally, we create healthier, safer, and more fulfilling relationships externally.

This is a complimentary workshop made possible thanks to funding from the Government of Canada.
