Stress is a natural part of life, but when it becomes constant or overwhelming, it can affect our mood, energy, sleep, and overall mental health. This workshop helps participants understand what stress is, how it affects the brain and body, and why certain symptoms or reactions may show up. We explore the difference between healthy stress and chronic stress, and how factors like lifestyle, environment, and personal history influence our stress responses.

Participants will learn practical, evidence-informed coping strategies they can use in daily life to support regulation, grounding, and emotional well-being. The focus is on awareness, compassion, and building capacity – not perfection or pressure.

Attendees will leave with simple tools and a clearer understanding of how to support themselves during times of stress.

This is a complimentary workshop made possible thanks to funding from the Government of Canada.
