About The Workshop

You spend your days caring for people through some of the hardest moments of their lives. You witness grief, trauma, crisis, uncertainty, recovery, and hope (sometimes all in the same shift). Most days, there isn’t time to stop and notice what carrying all of that asks of you. Somewhere along the way, many people working in healthcare and social services have come to believe that carrying it all is simply part of the job.
This isn’t another workshop about becoming more resilient or adding one more thing to your plate. It’s a chance to pause, take a breath together, and put words to experiences that often go unnamed: compassion fatigue, moral distress, cumulative stress, grief, and the emotional weight of caring. Most importantly, it’s a chance to be in a room with people who understand the work, because no one should have to carry it alone.
This is a complimentary workshop made possible thanks to funding from the Government of Canada.
