About The Workshop

You notice when a student isn’t themselves. You celebrate their successes, worry about them when they’re struggling, and often carry conversations home that nobody else heard. Alongside teaching, you’re responding to behaviour, supporting families, managing competing demands, and trying to meet the needs of every student in front of you. Some days it can feel like no matter how much you give, there’s always more that could be done.
This workshop begins by recognizing the realities of education today—not just the work that’s written in your job description, but the invisible work that comes with caring for young people. Together, we’ll make sense of the emotional weight many educators carry, explore the difference between caring deeply and carrying everything, and reconnect with the reasons this work matters. Caring for students deeply shouldn’t have to mean losing yourself in the process.
This is a complimentary workshop made possible thanks to funding from the Government of Canada.
