Looking Out for the Crew: Having Each Other’s Back On and Off the Job

About The Workshop

Image

Construction is built on teamwork. You rely on the people around you to work safely, solve problems, and get the job done. Looking out for each other has always been part of the work… But life doesn’t stay at home when the workday starts. Stress, financial pressure, injuries, family responsibilities, and everything else people carry can show up on the job site, even when nobody talks about it.

This workshop isn’t about having all the answers or turning anyone into a counsellor. It’s about recognizing when someone isn’t quite themselves, knowing how to check in, and understanding that looking after the crew includes mental health too. Sometimes the strongest thing we can do is let someone know they don’t have to figure it out alone.

This is a complimentary workshop made possible thanks to funding from the Government of Canada.
