About The Program
The Transitional Rehabilitation Housing Program 1 (TRHP 1) provides supportive housing to forensic clients, in a CMHA Toronto-operated building located in North York. These clients are individuals who have serious mental health conditions, are under the jurisdiction of the Ontario Review Board (ORB) as a result of being found Not Criminally Responsible (NCR), and have been granted community living privileges in their Disposition.
TRHP 1 provides 24/7 support, including intensive case management services which focus on recovery, skill building and risk management. Clients remain in the program until they are able to live successfully in permanent housing with appropriate community supports.
Who's It For
Individuals who are living with mental illness, have been found Not Criminally Responsible (NCR), and are under the jurisdiction of the Ontario Review Board (ORB).
How IT Works
- Clients under the jurisdiction of the Ontario Review Board, are referred directly from a forensic hospital (CAMH).
- Clients reside in a TRHP facility and receive support from a multidisciplinary team, which includes social work, occupational therapy, behavioural therapy, nursing, case management, and residential support care workers
