About The Program
Routes is a peer community space in North York for individuals seeking support with their mental recovery in a safe and inclusive space. Serving the entire GTA, we offer social programs and recovery-focused education to promote self-awareness and wellbeing. And, we like to have a lot of fun!
Our recovery-focused programs include one-to-one peer supports, wellness checks, recovery college and mindfulness as well as social activities such as yoga, arts and crafts, and healthy cooking classes.
What is peer support?
Peer support strives for recovery and, in doing so, considers the wellness of the whole person. The philosophy of peer support is that each individual has an innate desire to find a path towards recovery and improved health and wellbeing, and has within themselves the knowledge of what will work for them. Peer support workers support individuals as they find that inner knowledge and reignite that hopeful desire.
